SIR I-beam connecting rods are an excellent choice for the cost conscience customer. Offering a 50 Percent increase in strength versus stock rods, these rods are rated to 500 Horsepower in small block and 700 Horsepower in big block applications. The low cost of "SIR" I-beam rods makes it practically obsolete to rework stock rods, considering the cost to magna flux, replace bolts, re size, and install bushings. Most arc available in both press fit or bushed for floating pins. Eagle Specialty Products "SIR" connecting rods are an economically priced alternative to the time and expense involved in reworking OE connecting rods. "SIR" connecting rods are forged from 5140 steel and most are available for both press fit or bushed for floating pins. ARP 8740 cap screw bolts are used in all "SIR" connecting rods.
